Wolff Gallery now has an online store! https://www.wolffgallery.com/shop/

Zemie Barr and I are officially gallery owners! Wolff Gallery’s grand opening was a great success! Visit our website for updates. http://www.wolffgallery.com

Join Wolff Gallery in celebrating our grand opening in our new permanent exhibition space!
For our first exhibition, Wolff Gallery will host “Now I am Myself,” a group show featuring five female artists, all of whom are photographing themselves or other women in ways that reject, challenge, or circumvent the male gaze. Although this is not a new revisionist effort for feminist artists, equitable representation of women within popular media culture continues to be rare. This show exists as another divergence from the status quo, with each artist offering her unique narrative and vision in order to create space for herself in front of the camera and move the discourse beyond objectification to empowerment.

Featured artists include: Audra Osborne, Briana Cerezo, Calethia DeConto, Jamila Clarke, and Lauren Crow

Opening Reception: April 7th, 2016 6-10pm

Port City Gallery & Wolff Gallery present an exhibition of photographic work by Jamila Clarke and Annie Oldenburg. Created using a combination of practical and digital effects, the works on display represent a deliberately generative manipulation of image. The compelling visual narratives that unfold within each print are only obtainable through skilled alteration and a desire to push beyond the limits of the camera as a tool, photography as a medium and the natural world as an objective reality. Guest curated by Shannon O’Connor and Zemie Barr of Wolff Gallery, the exhibition seeks to present the constructed image as a unique mode of communication and as a portal to new possibilities.

Show runs from January 8th through January 29th 2016, with an opening reception on Friday, January 8th from 5 – 7 p.m.

Exciting News! My friend and business partner Zemie Barr and I have curated a one night show in NW Portland! We are curating pop up shows featuring talented local artists all around Portland, until we find our permanent space. Wolff Gallery is a curatorial collaboration between Shannon O’Connor and Zemie Barr. Our goal is to broaden the Portland art scene by empowering female artists and giving exposure to underrepresented artists.

Welcome to my new website! I am enjoying living in Portland, Oregon with my wonderful husband. We really love the rain here, and we do get a lot of sunshine too! This blog will have updates about upcoming exhibitions as well as curatorial projects I'm working on. I also have a photo blog, my tumblr which I use as a visual diary, which is updated more frequently.
